Team of Teams Introduction – El!

By October 22, 2018Travel Tips

Once, in the mysterious, far away land of Phoenix, Arizona, there was a man who was so resoundingly successful in everything that he did, everyone he met marveled at his sheer excellence, prosperity, and perfect hair. El is not this person, but he shook hands with him once and told him how cool he was.

When it comes to EXP, El has a bit of experience with almost everything. Sales, Social Media, Trip Planning, Party Planning, Horticulture… This man does at least some of it all! If you were to ask El what he brings to EXP, he would say his laptop. On an average day, he can be found typing aggressively, listening to music, and waiting in the wings of conversations for an opportunity to dart in and throw puns at people before disappearing from whence he came. He’s sort of like Batman, if Batman fought crime with word play and tomfoolery instead of batarangs and angst.

A child of the relatively unknown city of Houston, Texas, El decided to cast off the shackles of small town life at the age of 5 and pursue his dream of becoming a space fighter pilot. Currently, he lives in Phoenix, and enjoys it immensely, despite it doing it’s best impression of the surface of the sun on a yearly basis. When he finds that the trials and tribulations of being fabulous every single day start to get to him, he relaxes by immersing himself in YouTube videos or podcasts, with a video game tossed in there for good measure.

Periodically, El gets the urge to travel. This is not in itself a radical concept; people have been consistently traveling since the invention of legs really caught on. A happy byproduct of all this walking around is that people have been sticking cool things all over the world for thousands of years, and other people have been coming by to look at it, and either break it, steal it, appreciate it, or buy a commemorative hat of it. El is solidly in the appreciate category, and has thoroughly enjoyed looking at Iceland, Italy, Seville, and Ireland, to name a few of his favorite places. He also has a lifelong dream to go see Middle Earth. As soon as he does, he’ll be Sauron high on cloud nine, and it’s a Shire bet that he’ll go more than once – mark his words.

There’s something to be said for relentless positivity. El has decided to go through life with as consistently positive an outlook as he possibly can. He’s always there for a high five, he always loves a good adventure, and he absolutely loves making people smile – mostly through puns, though he has a bad hobbit of trying to make puns work when they just don’t ring true.

Whenever you find yourself down, lost amongst the sea of normalcy and aching for a bit of mystery and excitement, sprinkled with a bit of the fantastical, El has got your back.

Just be aware he’s going to be a giant dork.

“He’s just not good at golf. Like, it’s a bit embarrassing. How does he make it look that awkward?” – Tiger Woods
